Red-Predict™
CREATES THE MOST ACCURATE IN-BUILDING WIRELESS
DESIGNS POSSIBLE BY USING MEASUREMENT-BASED PREDICTION (MbP™),
GIVING INCREASED DESIGN CONFIDENCE
Overview
Designing effective in-building wireless systems requires RF prediction tools that deliver a high level of confidence. The in-building environment is complex, but most planning tools don't have sufficient accuracy to achieve the desired results. Red-M's Red-Predict in-house planning tool solves this problem by achieving high prediction accuracy and consistency for assured network performance from each design.
What are the design challenges?
There is no standard design approach for in-building systems:
- The most common prediction methods share a problem:
obtaining data that represents the building with sufficient accuracy
- Antenna locations & settings and distribution system structures are mostly based on judgement, opinion and ad-hoc estimation
- Absence of objective methods for evaluating and optimising system performance leads to over-design or poor performance
- Lack of consistency between designers means costs and performance are not managed
- Planning tools are often difficult to use, insufficiently accurate and extend the design time beyond acceptable limits

How can Red-Predict help?
With MbP technology, Red-Predict solves all of the issues currently associated with RF prediction tools:
- Highly accurate predictions - based on optimum combinations of actual in-building measurements and field-proven models
- Efficient design process - with evaluation & optimisation from a factual baseline
- Consistent design approach
- Coverage and capacity - enables very precise planning of the
exact performance required for the user population and applications
in use
- Quality - ensuring that the wireless network design will deliver the required levels of service exactly where needed in the building
